HHS Football Players Questioned....and Coached

This past Thursday, all HHS football players were pulled out of their classrooms and questioned on issues related to verbal abuse from their coaches. At first, I was very happy to hear this news; However, when I found out that certain coaches were allowed access to the kids before and after they were privately interviewed, it became obvious that these football "coaches" were putting pressure on the kids and "coaching" them on what to say and (more importantly) what NOT to say. Hey, at least they are good at coaching something, cause it sure as hell aint football (as evidenced by the yearly collapses). Nevertheless, this was a poorly run investigation. Any investigation where the defendents are allowed access to the witnesses is laughable. These are kids we are talking about. Do you think they folded under the pressure?

Return of the King

After 5 years of seeing his once proud program underachieving and being embarressed on a yearly basis, the Almighty King Edward takes matters (and various weapons) into his own hands and destroys the people who screwed up his work and returns to reclaim what is rightfully his!

Marty Destroys Hoboken Football (Represented by Tree)

Similar to the way he repeatedly runs the same ineffective plays, Marty the "Genius" (in his own mind) keeps swinging the axe until he has completely killed a once living, healthy and vibrant entity....HOBOKEN FOOTBALL

Marty Snaps Under Pressure

Lets Get Physical

New Providence - 24 Hoboken - 21

On 11/13/10, Hoboken (led by genius in his own mind) Matin Shannon (the REAL head coach) blew their 6th halftime lead in the past 3 years. This time it was in the state playoff matchup against New Providence. Leading 21-0 at halftime, Hoboken pulled their usual 2nd half nosedive as Shannon's offense was stone-walled and Peluso's defense looked like swiss cheese. Before you could say, "get me more illigal Jersey City transfers" Hoboken was in their bus and on their way back to JFK Stadium with a 24-21 loss. Another shining moment for Marty "I think im Vince Lombardi" Shannon and John "I wish my defense was half as tight as my shorts" Peluso.

Another interesting note about this particular game, was that assistant coaches Doug Peterson and Ryan Soraphine engaged in a physical confrontation ON THE SIDELINE, IN FRONT OF THE PLAYERS and IN CLEAR VIEW OF EVERYONE IN ATTENDANCE during the 2nd Quarter. More professional behavior by these "coaches". Great example to set guys. Also interesting to note that Hoboken Board of Education President Rose Markle was in the bleachers during this game and Im sure has yet to address the issue; and will make every attempt to not have to.
